Are the encrypted MAC files really safe?

Yesterday I occasionally saw an article about MAC files security, in which the author shared his method for ensuring important MAC files security. I believe many of his appoints will be favored by salted MAC users, such as installing antivirus software, keeping perform high density by backing up  MAC files according to the real situations. However, I still feel it is problematic to encrypt MAC files to ensure files security. I have to agree that it is very necessary to encrypt important files, because this operation can help us avoid accidental operations, such as accidental modification, accidental deletion. This appointment is also mentioned in article above, but the author exaggerated the security degree after encrypting MAC files. He said MAC files could avoid being deleted after we encrypted MAC files, so this point may mislead some MAC users.

As the users who know MAC operating system well know to encrypt important MAC files is only to protect the file. If we encrypt MAC folders, all files in the folders will be protected. However, this protection only works for current file directory, folder and subdirectory in the folder, not including the parent directory of it. For example, if we perform accidental deletion on parent directory storing the encrypted file, this file will still be affected. I believe this point is blindness that occurs when MAC users perform operations on MAC. When we first encounter such a problem or even encounter it for several times, we may don’t know the real reason. In fact, I was also confused when encountering encrypted file loss in folder for previous times. How can the encrypted files get lost? Is it said that the encrypted can’t be modified and deleted? I had thought of these questions for a long time, and after learning in many aspects and multiple tests, I finally confirm the security degree of MAC encrypted files – it is only effective for current directory and its subdirectory.

Before viewing this article, many users may have encountered the encrypted MAC files loss. You need not worry, because the accidentally deleted files can be completely recovered. In the past, it was very difficult to realize data recovery, because most data recovery software on market had compatibility problems with MAC operating system. However, with the appearance of professional MAC data recovery software like MiniTool Mac Data Recovery, we can recover lost files on MAC by ourselves. Besides, the software is easy to use, and it doesn’t require us to have any professional data recovery knowledge.

Although the accidentally deleted MAC files can be easily recovered, unexpectedness exists. Therefore, to ensure the security of our important file on MAC, it is important to prevent data loss in advance. Here I share my opinion about encrypting MAC files to make more people know this MAC security problem, thus you can avoid some unnecessary data disaster. If you have different opinions, you can leave me a message. I believe only discussing with others can we learn more computer knowledge.
